Mrs. Frisby And The Rats of NIMH by Robert C. OBrien. Was not like any ordinary book it was way better. It was about two different types of species working together.The message of this novel has alot of messages like perserverance, teamwork and courage. For example, teamwork, the rats helped each other learn to read. Also teamwork was shown when Mrs. Frisby told the rats about the exterminators coming and when the rats helped Mrs. Frisby move her house. Another lesson from the story was courage. By this I mean Mrs. Frisby showed courage when she went to visit the owl and asked for help and the time she met Mr. Ages, she was heading back home to her sick son and went through the farm where she could have got eaten by Dragon but she did not. She survived and acutally helped a crow named jermeny who was cought and could of died. She and jermey became very good friends and Jermey said if you need anything I will help Finally, perserverance, this was shown by Mrs. Frisby, she never gave up. She kept looking for a solution to her problem and that problem was moving her house and she finally got an answer the rats helped her move. This showed alot of perserverance for Mrs. Frisby and the rats so they could help each other. They also would be nice to each other and they wouldnt be mean so that they could help each other and not help them.
In this book lessons or messages like the ones listed above are important to everyone and used in our lives everyday. Courage is needed in life when you are trying out new things. Courage makes a person stronger. Teamwork is another important lesson used in our everyday life. Working together with people is a good thing. You can always count on your friends when you are in trouble. You can’t do everything on your own it is okay to ask for help. Perserverance is important because never give up. Keep going until you get what you are after.

They were shown throughout the book by both Mrs. Frisby and the rats. These lessons will help me as I go through life by when i need courage i could always go to my friends.
